Update

As I sit here in my room,watching movies,  I start to think about the year I've had and the goals I want to accomplish in 2011.  I know at this time of the year people make promises that they will never fulfill.  I myself have made these promises e.g: losing 50 pounds, make straight A's, and not be emotional, but I have accomplished many of the goals I set  this year.

So If you haven't see the pics this is my new doo!

Today I went to the pool with my roommate Heather. This week Heather has some friends visiting from New York, because her birthday is June 3rd.  Once they arrived we chilled and ate just had a real good time. Now im sitting in my room with a crazy terrible stomach ache as they pre game before going downtown.  Since I do feel incredibly terrible I'm just goin to post some photos I took about a year ago while attending Western Carolina University, the place where my heart resides!

Really though!

This week at work has been extra stressful and I completely understand that everyone is on edge but i believe there are some common courtesies that people forget during this time. The following list are things that should always be followed

"The White Report"

I haven't taken many pictures lately but i feel as though i shouldn't abandon my blog or one faithful follower so I decided to start doing "reports" about artist both past and present that I find exciting. In this first installment of " The White Report" which i what i'll be calling this segment from this point forth I'll be telling you about the wonderful, creative, and semi attractive Minor White. For of those thinking it no i didn't name it the "The White Report" because his last name is white but because mine is, so yeah i still wasn't creative (darn!)  This will have tons of fact of course because if you know me you know I'm all about some random facts but this will be in a relaxed form and have personal opinions as well.  So here we go and of course feed back in more than welcomed

digital photograpy

Bland title right? yeah i know but i didn't want to put i got a B in digital photogrphy as the title or you wouldn't have read the actual post.   So basiclly i got a B in my digital photography class! I thought i would get a C which you would know if you you read my last post!  Also in my last post i challenged myself to photograph more purposeful images so that's what i've been doin i will actually post those pictures later tonight (hopefully) In the mean time in between time you can check out my weekly digital photography here :)

No followers + challenge

I have come to the decision that this summer I will challenge myself to find more interesting subject matters, as well as more purposeful shots so this blog won't be completely filled with pics of my sister.  It's not that i don't love my sister but she's my sister and I get tired of looking at her, so i can imagine you do as well. So I ms. white will commit to finding 1000 new and interesting subjects to photograph durning the summer ( may to august) and share then here. Also  it's been one month and 5 days since i have started my blog and still i have no followers :( it's OK though they will come.


PS: I learned to mat photos for my final portfolio so I'm thinking I'm pretty beast now! B-)

PSS: still waiting for my overall grade which i think will be about a C... :( i just don't like to turn in homework OK! don't judge me...

Final Portfolio

So in my last post I was gonna test out my new lights and take some night photos but it started raining so i opted to just playing volleyball with my room mate Heather and some of her friends. Today I have my last digital photography class for the semester!!!!!! Now don't get me wrong i love the class... in therory, but there are three girls in there that apparently think we're still in high school. They spend the entire class gossipping, talking, and just being rude it makes the class kinda sort UNBEARABLE. Enough about them i wanted to share with you my final portfolio. Now my portfolio may be different from others, mine may not show my absolute best work but it does show the images that i had the most enjoyable time capturing so I hope you enjoy.  Most of these are from my weekly pictures, which i will start shareing in the very near future, but a few are from specific projects such as our designing and image, portrait, and  scavenger hunt project.

wow!!!

wow it' been 14 days since i last posted!!!! dang fail on my part :( so  just an update, today i bought a halogen light so i can start taking some night, out doors, actiony type pics.  Now since im a poor college student with bill and a limited budget i couldn't buy the light kit i wanted so i settled for one similar to this this.  Mine included another light and a stand  but i either couldn't find a pic or was too lazy to find one i can't remember which( it was probably the lazy part) I also bought a tripod( how did i live before!!!!) So tonight I'm gonna try all my new stuff out and possibly take some pics of my roommate and her friends playing volleyball later. I'll try to post pics tomorrow but since my portfolio for my digital photography class is due tomorrow it might not happen so ill leave you with some random pics. Also this weekend some of the fam went to Greensboro to see my brother's BFA concert ( idk what it's for like choreography or something i really should pay more attention to stuff like that). Since i didn't have an UNCG official camera i couldn't  take pictures of the actual show. of course the piece my brother choreographed entitled ga(ze) was the ish and completely dominated the show nothing could top it!!!!!!! I was very excited to see one of his friends Dereke dancing ! I've met his friend several times but this was the first time i actually got to see him dance i was most def impressed. believe the hype in this young man because he will be famous!!!!!  I  said all that to say i don't have any pics of the event and here are some random pics of my sisters through out the weekend. enjoy :)

Self portrait

So tomorrow my portrait project for my digital photography class is due. Im super nervous not because i don't have 100 portraits ( which now that i think about it i should) but because i have to take a self protrait :(  Don't get me wrong i don't think im unattractive in fact i think im pretty i just feel uncomfortable and often times akward in front of a camera. If you look at most pictures of me i usually purposely make akward face, akward body postition, or even a gigantic unflattering smile.  Well i guess I'll either: get over it, take pics where I'm just kinda in them but not really, or not turn any in( this probably isn't goin to happen since i want a good grade).
What ever I decide I'll make sure i post the pics here (not 100 at one time but little by little). btw i took some great pics this weekend ill be sure to post those tonight :) I hope every one who reads this had a great weekend and a fabulous Monday :)

Update

So i haven't really had the opportunity to take many picture becuase of work and a digital photography project i've been working on. I recently attended ECU's africa night hosted by their ASO.  my seats weren't that great so I didn't get really great pics

So last night...

was terrible and after a terrible day filled with rude stupid people it was only fitting. Things did get slightly better when aj seen here came over and brought a movie (friday the 13th VI which i love).  After the movie we just talked and listened to music, then i kinda fell asleep :( SN: I do think he wanted to do the hanky panky but I don't foresee it happening. When i woke up this morning he was still right there so thanks aj for making my night a little better. Since it's 7 almost 8 i haven't really taken any pics but i'll do another post tonight. (hopefully)

Easter weekend

So this weekend was filled to the brim. I took pics for my boss' daughter's birthday party, went back home for easter, hung out with friends from high school, took lots of photos, got up @ 6 this morning to go to work and basically got no sleep the entire weekend.  Now im watching phillip defranco and cleaning my room so I can have a "photoshoot" here in my room tomorrow.

So all week my plans for today were to help my mom in the morning and be chillin next to the sunny cool pool by 1. Unfortunately my mother and i woke up to my sister yelling franticly. She was having a seizure! (my sister is only 3!!!) so of course we rushed her to the hospital, this was around 9, we didn't get home until around 5:30 or 6, but  she's fine and  resting. here are my pics
